More about Media Hub

  • What is Media Hub?
Media Hub is the shared media library inside Slate. Upload, preview, organize, and search your team’s photos and video, then pull them straight into projects on web and iOS without downloading or re-uploading.
  • Who is Media Hub for?
Teams where footage comes from many people and ends up in many places: a photographer in the field, an editor at a desk, a social lead on a phone. Sports clubs, live event teams, media companies, and multi-location brands use it to replace the shared drive and the group chat as the place footage lives.
  • Which integrations does Slate support?
Slate connects to Getty Images, PhotoShelter, Greenfly, and Slack for bringing media in, and to Sprout Social for pushing finished content out to scheduling.
  • How is Media Hub different from a shared drive?
A shared drive stores files; Media Hub stores footage where you create. Media is previewable, searchable, organized by folder and collection, and one click away from any project, with no download step.
  • What is Content Hub?
Content Hub is the archive of everything your team has exported from Slate. It gives the whole team visibility into what shipped and makes it easy to find and reuse past content.
  • Is there a storage limit?
Storage and asset limits depend on your plan and are visible in your workspace. Teams that need more can expand storage without changing how they work.
  • Does Media Hub work on mobile?
Yes. Media uploaded to the hub is available in the Slate mobile app (iOS and Android), so footage from the field and footage from the desk live in the same library.
  • Can I search my footage by what’s in it?
Coming soon. Slate’s AI will analyze the visuals and the transcript of everything in your Media Hub and make it searchable by content: who’s in the shot, what’s happening, and what was said. Until then, folders, collections, and search terms keep the library organized.
