Match Made in Heaven: Using Multiple Features at Once
If you’ve been with Slate for a while, my guess is that you’re careening straight into basic feature mastery. Heck, even if you haven’t been with Slate for more than a few weeks, you’re still probably pretty confident in your abilities to use graphics, filters, backgrounds, text and templates.
(PSA: If you haven’t tried our swappable and lockable layers for templates yet, stop what you’re doing and get into it because, I’m telling you, it’s a game changer. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.)
With your skills leveled all the way up when it comes to the basic functionalities of Slate, we’re left with no choice but to start getting tricky. It’s time to tag team functions and reach new heights by combining what you already know.
Backgrounds + Graphics for IG Reshares
There is nothing that sends my brain into blah mode faster than a reshare of a post with a boring, flat, brandless background. Instead, no matter where you’re resharing from, bring that branded flavor to your story with a background and then level up once more with some graphics to provide a pro-level layered look.
Template + Animated Filter
Templates have seen incredible innovation with the release of swappable and lockable layers and each season we see more and more eye-catching movement via animated filters. But it’s a rare event to see the two combined for a customized, animated experience. If you’re looking to dabble in one of the rarest Slate use-cases, create your template, save it, and reupload to add an animated filter on top.
Captions + Sponsorship
Alright fine, it’s not two features at once but we’re going off the beaten path here to suggest a combo that doesn’t need a ton of creative to work. In fact, all you need is Slate’s built in caption feature and a prime piece of sponsored content. It’s easy; think about what you can add captions to and then figure out how to integrate it with your current sponsors.
This is a win-win because not only do you make your content more accessible with captions, but you do it while boosting your partnerships. That’s a match made in heaven.
